The West Indies opener Kraigg Brathwaite has finally finished win-drought for his team, with becoming the first opener batsman to remain not out in both the innings of Test match and scoring 142 and 160 in both the innings respectively, Brathwaite has led West Indies to win the Test match against Pakistan.
Pakistan who were already having hands on the 3-match series with 2-0 lost the final game of the series.
West Indies were given a low target of 154 by the Pakistanis and it seems they’ll be doing it with ease, but Yasir Shah recoiled back and pushed back WI with making them look 67- 5 on the board.
Partnership between wicket-keeper Shane Dowrich and Brathwaite made it 5 wicket win for West Indies.
Brathwaite was awarded the Man of the Match, whereas Yasir Shah was awarded Man of the series.
West Indian captain Jason Holder was also all praises for young Brathwaite at presentation ceremony: “We played some very good cricket over the last five days. Credit must go to Kraigg (Brathwaite) for some awesome batting. Gabriel got wickets with the new ball and set it up for us. It feels really good to contribute and help the team win. Really young side in transition and we can take a lot of positives from this series. As long as we stay together as a group, it will be good for West Indies cricket.”
