Pak openers roars, fades away Zim power at Gaddafi Stadium, wins by 5 wickets in a T20 match


Gaddafi Stadium: It took long time to see International cricket back in Pakistan, Pakistani openers rejoices the fun with showing their ‘arm power’ at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Match results as Pakistan winning by five wickets against Zimbabwe.


Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat first, this decision never went wrong for the weak Zimbabwean side, scoring 172/6 after completion of 20 overs.

Pakistani spectators eyeing their stars at their home ground was not less than a dream, a great work by PCB and cooperation of Zimbabwe Cricket board makes this possible.

Zimbabwe Batting
Zimbabwean openers with a good start (H Masakadza: 43 bowled by Muhammad Sami, Vusi Sibanda: 13 bowl by Sami and Caught by Sarfraz Ahmed). It was all going well for the guests, before Sami expelled both the openers with two on two deliveries at score of 58. Later, in the innings Elton Chigumbra led his side with 54 runs from 35 balls.


Pakistani Bowlers
Mohammed Sami making his come back, becomes the most successful bowlers of the match, with 3-36 in 4 overs. Wahab Riaz grabbed 2 for 38 and Shoiab Malik with 1 for 12 in 3 overs.

Pakistani Batting
Pak openers confidently, provided partnership of 142 in 13.3 overs. None of the batsman except openers played well and made trouble for the Pak side, with Afridi coming on the crease smashed four of his first ball, when it was 4 required on 4 to win. Young Mukhtar Ahmed from Sialkot scored 83 from 45 balls, made his half century on just 26 balls.
