ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) Shehryar Khan along with nominated chairman of International Cricket Council (ICC) Najam Sethi, to attend ICC meeting. COO PCB Subhan Ahmed is already in Dubai to attend ICC meeting.
Najam Sethi ex-chairman PCB has been especially invited by the ICC, as he would be soon in charge as ICC President.
Earlier, former ICC president, Mustafa Kamal, who has a Bangladeshi origin had resigned from the ICC’s President designation due to which the president’s seat lies vacant.
Mustafa Kamal criticised on umpires that they were responsible for his native team defeat against India in the World cup,further he resigned from the designation.
It will also be decided in the meeting by the ICC whether to appoint an interim chairman or handover the charge to the already nominated Najam Sethi.
Rather than that many important decisions are to be taken by ICC, will finalize the number of teams to be participating in the next world cup.
Further more decisions in the meeting include, matter like illegal bowling action, Test cricket, anti doping in Women cricket and future strategy for the next world cup would also be discussed.
According to the sources, Shehryar Khan will meet heads of different boards and will also discuss rehabilitation of international cricket in Pakistan.
