Alastair Cook not happy with Pakistan’s push-ups celebration at Lord’s

Pakistan cricket team under leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq created history by winning a Test match at Lord’s after 20 years. The brighter part came in for Pakistan as the team get aligned and did push-ups celebration, the celebration to honor their Army trainers at ASPT Kakul during boot camp before crucial England Tour.

Earlier, captain Misbah also went on for the push-ups celebration after making a much needed century in the first innings of the match.

Pakistan team winning it by 75 runs against the host, were loving one of the greatest moments of Pakistan cricket team.

COAS General Raheel Sharif also called Misbah  to appreciate teams collective effort to earn such a glorious victory.

While talking at the presentation ceremony, Misbah-ul-Haq speaking about push-ups celebration told, “The celebration was dedicated to the camp guys, they must have enjoyed it. I want to thank the crowd, lots of Pakistanis here and even the local crowd who were supportive of good cricket.”

Though, English captain Alastair Cook seemed annoyed with the celebration from the Pakistanis. Cook said, “It’s never nice to lose at Lord’s and see the opposition like they were at the end.  We’ll use that as motivation,” pointing about Pakistan’s push-ups celebration.

“I didn’t take offence, but certainly at that moment in time it’s not pleasant for the first 20 minutes when you’ve just lost a game of cricket. They’re entitled to do what they want. Obviously it’s united them and it shows what a challenge we’ve got in the next game. But the cricketing gods” he added.
