DHAKA: Bangladesh drowned Pakistan in T20 match on Friday, also registered first ever victory against Pakistan in T20 format.
In chase of 142 runs, Home side after losing 2 quick wickets for only 17 runs, lost Mushiqur Rahim at the score of 38, but after that senior batsmen Shakib Al Hasan and Sabbir Rahim guide the team to historic win.
Sabbir Rahim declared man-of-the-match for his maiden fifty in T20 format.
Earlier, after winning the toss Pakistan’s skipper Shahid Afridi decided to bat first, Ahmed Shehzad and deubtant Mukhat Ahmed, gave the slowest of the start to team, Shahzad got out after on 17 after consuming 31 balls, green shirts shuffle the batting order too but went all in vain, Afridi came one down but he was unable to trouble the score card much, went back to the pavlion after scoring 12 runs in 9 deliveries.
Young Mukhtar Ahmed also departed after the captian, he made 37 runs in 30 balls, Mohammad Hafeez and Haris Sohail partnership of 49 runs helps Pakistan to reach a respectable total. Hafeez made 26 in 18 balls and Haris Sohail remain not out on 30 after playing 26 balls.
Left-arm fast medium debutant Mustafizur Raham in his quota of four over picked 2 wickets concedes only 20 runs.
