The highly anticipated new Call of Duty: Vanguard developer has announced that it is expanding, opening a new studio based in the UK. Coming to Guildford, Surrey, the new division of Sledgehammer will be known as Sledgehammer Games Guildford, and will work alongside Melbourne and Toronto developer studios to support Vanguard, its future seasons, as well as “future projects we have planned in the coming years,” as stated in Ad post a>.
“Guildford has a long history in video game development, and as a result, there are many top-notch talent and a community of game developers based out there and the surrounding towns,” said Liz Weil, General Manager of Sledgehammer Games Guilford. “We are also close to London, which has a huge pool of talent.”
The studio is currently working in multiple positions and roles, including art, design, engineering, animation, user interface, user experience, production and audio, as well as looking to fill a number of senior roles.
As for the future of hammer games, Call of Duty: Vanguard will be releasing in a few weeks, on November 5th to be exact. The shooter will arrive on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
