Urwa Hocane to play lead role replacing Iman Ali in upcoming movie

Young-talented actress Urwa Hucane signed another film replacing one of the prominent model-turned actresses – Iman Ali – in an upcoming film with Ali Azmat and Bilal Ashraf.

Na Maloom Afraad actress Urwa is likely to be playing the lead in the upcoming movie. Although the production is being kept under wraps, it has been unveiled that the first spell of the film has already been shot in Hyderabad.

After impressive debut in her Na Maloom Afraad, it isn’t strange that Urwa is turning out to be a sought-after actress in the local entertainment industry. The comedy-thriller released last year on Eid is the longest Pakistani running film (165 days) since 2007, breaking Waar’s previously held record. It collected Rs4.5 million on the first day of release.

This upcoming movie is likely to hit cinemas next year.

With such a successful entry, she has already started receiving more offers. Her sister Mawra Hocane is not for behind and has succeeded in getting herself identified as an actress in the industry.

Urwa stepped the showbiz industry as a VJ and was soon seen showing her acting skills in TV serials including: Meri Ladli, Kahi Un Kahi, Tum Mere Hi Rehna, and Madiha Maliha. However, it was her critically acclaimed performance in drama Marasim which propelled her career forward.
