B-town’s Big B is going to star alongside Vidya Balan and versatile Nawazuddin Siddiqui in their upcoming venture, TE3N, to be released next year.
As stated in Filmfare, the project of these three big names is being given direction by Ribhu Dasgupta, who helmed the senior Bachchan’s TV miniseries Yudh.
Amitabh Bachchan reportedly has signed the project without even going through the script.
The creative producer of the film Sujoy Ghosh said: “One day, we were chatting with Sir (Bachchan) and Ribhu sketched out the idea to him. He reacted instantly saying he was doing the film.
When we told him we didn’t even have a script, he instructed us to write one. He agreed to the film on the basis of just a thought.”
Nawazuddin, who recently was seen playing Chand Nawab role in Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, was also reluctant to sign the project; however, the producer was most worried about Vidya’s agreeing to sign the film. He coveted an actress who could match the stature of the actress, while Vidya had recently turned down a spate of films as well.
Fortunately, as would be termed to please fans of these three stars, for TE3N, she was impressed with the film’s script and willing to make appearance in the cameo role they had sketch for her. Having the setting in Kolkata, the film would be hitting the cinema next year.
