The movie was released on Eid-ul-Fitr and made cinema management to launch an extra show in the morning.
Bollywood block buster ‘Kick’ which starred Dabang Khan in the lead role, was released on Eid-ul-Fitr throughout the Pakistan and has became the highest holiday grosser in Pakistan which according to an estimation, has collected Rs 20.8 million so far.
Muhammad Ashraf, manager of the Ghalib cinema in Karachi’s Korangi area, says the demand forced them to arrange an extra morning show.
“We have not received such figures for any film even during the heydays of Pakistani films. On a average, we are earning Rs 65 to 70 thousands per show for Salman Khan’s new blockbuster ‘Kick’,” he said.
As the Ghalib cinema is not a well known cinema owning only one screen, more over they do not have very comfortable seating arrangements, the earnings are historic and awesome.
The distributor and exhibitor, Nadeem Mandviwalla told that Kick has grossed good business to single screen cinemas as well.
“Normally the multiplexes and Cineplex do great business because they have maximum number of shows in a day and due to the high ticket fares but this time we are getting in great reports from even the single screen cinemas,” Mandviwalla told.
