The director of Bollywood films Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Rang De Basanti, Rakeyesh Omprakash Mehra is up for fetching the vocal services of Pakistani Sufi singer Saieen Zahoor for his upcoming dramatizing of the tragic Punjabi folk tale of Mirza – Sahibaan in Mirzya.
The singer, who has been utilized his eccentric vocal skills for many Pakistani movies, has given the first teaser of the movie a haunting aural touch.
The teaser presents merely a glimpse of the leading cast namely Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvadhan Kapoor, playing role of Mirza, and Saimiyi Kher who will be seen as Sahibaan. The duo is making their Bollywood debut with this film.
The songs of the movie have been composed by the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio and promises to be discrete as whole the film’s script has been written in verse, poetry and song.
Meanwhile, Saieen Zahoor is not the only Pakistani whose voice has been borrowed by Bollywood movie director, as many other from the country have been adding the spell of their voice in Indian movies.
