KARACHI: Indian director, screenwriter and film editor Rajkumar Hirani, best known for the Indian blockbuster films- “Munna Bhai MBBS”, “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”, “3 Idiots” and “PK”, will visit Pakistan in April 2015 on the invitation of Karachi Arts Council, reported by Roznama Express.
Hirani belongs to a Sindhi family and his family migrated to India from Mehrabpur, Sindh during partition of Indo-Pak Subcontinent when his father Suresh Hirani was 14 year old. He wants to see the fatherland of his ancestors.
Speaking about his recent movie PK, Hirani said that he believes on peace and brotherhood. He said that his film PK upholds the true spirit of religion while condemning only the abuse of it. The intent of the film is to uphold this great thought.
Hirani personally feels that the Indo-Pak relations must be strengthened in all spheres, whether it is politics, sports or entertainment.
