Buraaq- “The Rise of a Hero”, which was released in January 2011 as a comic book, will now be coming to hit the television screens as a 3D animated series for the global audience under the banner of SplitMoonArts.

Buraaq was launched as a comic book by two enterprising American Muslims, Adil Imtiaz, Co-Founder and Artist, and Kamil Imtiaz, Co-Founder and Writer. The purpose of the book was to enlighten a positive Islamic characters in the world of mainstream entertainment. Be it movies, TV, books or comics. Especially after 9/11, Muslims were being portrayed in a negative way by the mainstream media. The first release was followed by an overwhelmingly positive response from across the globe.

Now the SplitMoonArts is going to boost the Buraaq to next level and aiming to produce a high quality 3D animated series for the global audience.

The promo of Buraaq both in Urdu and English version has been released before a day ago. Urdu version has been narrated by Junaid Jamshed and English version has been narrated by Adil Imtiaz. Sound track has been given by Shahi Hasan of Indus World Music.

Currently the creators are running a funding campaign of $200K to produce the first episode of Buraaq in high quality 3D animation.
