During the presentation, Kiciński also reiterated that an expansion is planned 2023. Given that development is in its final stages, perhaps it’s possible that the release could be set for the first half of next year, but that’s just our guess, since CD Projekt RED head hasn’t teased it.

On the other hand, we know that the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty development team is almost as important right now. 350 people, which represents the majority of CD Projekt’s workforce. Instead, The Witcher’s new teams (codenamed Polaris) and Molasses Flood’s Sirius Project numbered 150 and 60 people, respectively.

“We are focused on the final phase of development of Phantom Liberty, an expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 that is due out next year,” said Kisinski. (4:40 minutes into the video above).

“Currently approximately 350 developers are working on this project and at the same time we have strengthened our Polaris and Sirius teams, with the former growing to over 150 people and the latter having 60 developers at the end of October.”

As reported in previous news, Cyberpunk 2077 posted record sales in the most recent quarter, resulting in excellent results for the company.
