ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Saturday that a three-member security team has been constituted to visit India, to confirm that Pakistan cricket team will be provided complete security while playing in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2016.
Addressing to media on Wednesday evening, Nisad said, “Based on initial report of the team, a decision would be made about scheduled departure of the team for India on Wednesday”.
Referring to threats made by different conservative groups in India, Interior minister said, “Disturbing reports about security threats to Pakistan team are emanating from India including threats from extremists and militant organizations to create law and order problem during visit of Pakistan cricket team”.
“I have asked the PCB chairman to wait, and the team can wait until the security clearance is assured.”
Pakistan, India is in the same group, both team will be playing against each other on 19, March.
