Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said that Pakistan Army is prepared to face any sort of offence against the country.
The COAS was addressing the Corps Commanders’ Conference on Tuesday at the General Headquarter in Rawalpindi. At this moment, General Raheel expressed full satisfaction at ‘notable changes’ in the overall security situation of the country.

The participants of the conference took the internal and external security issues of the country into discussion in detail and reviewed the development of ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb and Intelligence-based Operation (IBOs).
After the state of willingness and vigil by armed forces beside the Line of Control (LoC) was reviewed, the COAS said, “We are fully prepared to respond to entire spectrum of threat.”
On peace talks between Afghan government and the Taliban, General Raheel Sharif said that it was the only reliable way to obtain lasting peace. COAS also said that detractors and spoilers opposed peace and prosperity of Afghanistan and the region as they were against it.
