ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday (today) for two day official visit to Pakistan. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation including several Cabinet Ministers, government officials. A representative delegation of Turkey’s top businessmen is also with Turkish Prime Minister.
During his visit, the 4th meeting of the Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSSC) will be chaired by the respective minister from both side, Pakistan and Turkey. Six key areas-Finance & Banking; Trade; Energy; Transport & Communication; Education; and Culture & Tourism will be discussed in the HLSSC.
Prime Minister Davutoglu would call on President Mamnoon Hussain, who would also host a dinner in honor of the visiting dignitary and the accompanying delegation. The Turkish Prime Minister would also attend events related to the academia, culture and the media.
It is the first visit of PM Davutoglu since he become the PM of Turkey in August 2014. Earlier, he had visited in his capacity as Foreign Minister.
