There is no doubt that Paris Attacks resulted in an immense loss to humanity. But it were the Muslims who become target of every criticism following such kind of terrorism and extremism acts. It was Tamwar Masood of BBC One’s soap opera EastEnders who presented the true face of Islam very beautifully.
The fictional role of Tamwar Masood that is actually played by the Himesh Patel presented the true face of Islam in the recent episode of EastEnders that was just aired following the Paris Attacks. In a short scene, Tamwar Masood explain his religion to his girlfriend Nancy.
His girlfriend touched the Quran and inquired about what it is. Masood then recite the verse of the Holy Quran from Surah Al-Nisa that according to him his favorite surah. He then recites the verse number 36 of Surah Al-Nisa “Do well to relatives, orphans, the needy, the neighbor who is near of kin, and the neighbor who is a stranger, to the companion at your side and to the traveler.”
After reading the Quranic verse, “That, to me, is what Islam is about. Be kind to people, family and strangers alike, and love them.”
