ISLAMABAD: The President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, visited Pakistan on the two-day tour official, where both countries signed different projects of worth billion dollars.
Pakistan and China signed 51 MOU’s including 5 of energy sector here in Islamabad today during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping here on Monday evening. China is going to invest about 45 billion dollars in Pakistan in different sectors including energy, optical fiber installation, anti-terrorism, anti-narcotics, LNG, Karakoram Highway and many others.
After the ceremony of signing MOU’s between Pakistan and China in dozens of number of sectors, Chinese President Xi Jinping said in his address that future of Pakistan and China is same. He said that China would continue its co-operation with Pakistan in its economical sector.
“The purpose of my visit is to strengthen ties with Pakistan”, said Jinping. He said that like Pakistan, China also expects peace in Afghanistan. “We support the efforts of Pakistan regarding terrorism”, said he., adding ” a new era of economical development would begin with these agreements between China and Pakistan”.
It is to be remembered here that 51 MOU’s have been signed today out of which 30 MOU’s belong to economical development whereas 5 others belong to energy sector. Both presidents also inaugurated 8 projects after the ceremony.
