Karachi’s road singer Arif Khan gets recognition from Dawn News


“First off all I’m thankful to Facebook, it’s all because of them,” the road singer told Dawn in an interview at Dawn Studios.


Arif khan who was earlier recognized as a road singer now gets recognition from one of the leading news channel of Pakistan, Dawn TV.

Arif Khan, who usually sings in streets and markets of Karachi, is a vendor by profession. People became curious to know about him as his singing video hit the social media and received applause across the country.

His video was posted by an anonymous person, went viral within no time leaving Karachiites stun. People got on knowing about the person so he might be praised and given recognition.


Arif Khan in an interview told that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is my favorite singer and aside him he also likes Arjit Singh.

In his singing video he’s seen singing ‘Zaruri tha’ which is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali khan and ‘Sange marmar’ which is sung by young star Arijit Singh of Bollywood.

Arif Khan sang both of the song quiet well and his performance speaks about his perfection in music.

MQM leader Faisal Subzwari also posted Arif’s music video via his Facebook and asked for anybody having details about the “amazing singer”.
