ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday, while talking to media said that petrol and diesel prices have been reduced by Rs5 per litre.
“Benefits of economic policies have started reaching the people and the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene oil have been cut five rupees per liter for the next month”, PM said
“Foreign reserves stand at over 21 billion dollars. Inflation rate is downing by two percent and all economic indicators show positive results”., PM added.
Earlier, Recommendations sent to the Petroleum Ministry, Ogra advised cuts in the diesel, high-octane , kerosene and petrol for the month of February.
Petrol is commonly used by Pakistani commuters in cars and motorcycles, the cut in petrol price is 9.9 percent suggested by Ogra.
For High-speed diesel (HSD) Rs 11 per litre and for light diesel oil (LDO) Rs8.17 per litre slash suggested by Ogra.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) after every month revise the price of petroleum prices.
The opposition parties Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf blames PML-N government that they are not passing the complete benefit of low prices to the public.
