ISLAMABAD: The Senate after resuming its session in Islamabad on Monday has passed an unanimous resolution strongly denouncing the abominable incident of child molesting in Kasur district.
Nasreen Jalil moved the resolution in the Upper House and it was not opposed by Leader of the House Raja Muhammaded Zafarul Haq who pointed out that the provincial government has already taken initiatives to investigate the incident through judicial commission.
Seeking justice in the same issue, the motions moved by Sassi Palejo, Azam Swati and Mohsin Aziz were clubbed together.
The resolution appealed the government to make sure that the justice is delivered and the responsible of this grave crime to taken to trial.
“They should be handed down harsh punishment and made an example,” it added.
The Upper House reaffirmed its commitment to standby with victims and make sure they will be provided with justice and those culprits will be accounted severely.
Earlier, the CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took serious notice of the incident and announced judicial commission to probe into the matter.
Meanwhile, the leaders of top political parties of Pakistan strongly condemned this incident and appealed the government to provide justice to the victims and their families who have been suffering unspeakable pain.
