ISLAMABAD: As the MNAs from the ruling party jeered at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan’s wife Reham Khan, the opposition staged a walk out from the National Assembly session on Thursday.
PML-N Member of National Assembly Talal Chaudhry taunted by saying on the floor of the house that Reham Khan uses helicopter like an auto rickshaw. This resulted in an uproar in Parliament and prompted PTI to walk out. Seeing this, Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai requested MNAs not take up family affairs in the Assembly.
Further exasperating PTI leaders, Talal asked NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to leave the House in case he thought he is ‘party in the NA-122 issue’. Upon this, the speaker left his chair with Deputy Speaker Murtaza Abbasi presiding over the session.
Concerning reports about the Pakistan Peoples Party’s wish to bring party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Parliament replacing the current leader of opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah, Talal said that PML-N will welcome PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto in Parliament.
Meanwhile, using of national services and commodities by the relatives of MNAs has been an issue of hot discussion in NA. As the opposition parties do not leave any instance of such happenings, this time a voice from the ruling party arisen against such act from an opposition party’s member.
