ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said, Pakistan is committed to continue serious efforts for long-term peace and stability in the country, Radio Pakistan reported.
He was speaking to the first meeting of the Quadrilateral Coordination Committee on Afghan peace process in Islamabad today. Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and the United States are participating in the meeting.
“The primary objective of the reconciliation process is to create conditions to bring Taliban to the negotiating table and offer them incentives that can persuade them to move away from using violence as a tool for pursuing political goals”, Sartaj said.
