President, PM congratulate Pak-Army for conducting successful test of Shaheen 1-A missile

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan successfully carried out test of the Shaheen 1-A ballistic missile on Tuesday.

The test was aimed at re-validating couple of design and technical parameters of arms system and this one, the Saheen 1-A, has the capability to deliver various kinds of warheads to a minimum range of 900 kilometers.

With the impact point in the Arabian Sea, the new launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations. On this occasion, Strategic Plans Division Director General Lt Gen Mazhar Jamil felicitated the scientists and engineers for their devotion, determination, professionalism and commitment towards yet another display of solidifying Pakistan’s defence.

Shaheen 1-A has sophistication and features state of the art guidance system, which enables highly accurate missile system.

Lt Gen Jamil reiterated on this triumphant moment that Pakistan’s strategic potential depends on ‘credible minimum deterrence and wish for peaceful co-existence in the region.

President and Prime Minister of Pakistan congratulated the scientists and engineers and lauded on achieving this milestone.

Earlier, Pakistan had conducted a successful test of the medium-range Shaheen-III surface-to-surface ballistic muissile couple of days ago.
