President Mamnoon calls for resolution of Palestine dispute


WEB DESK: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday has called for resolution of Palestine dispute for durable and sustainable  peace in Middle East region, Radio Pakistan said.


Addressing to meeting of the heads of  Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mamnoon Hussain said,The independence and sovereignty of Palestine should be the first and foremost priority of Muslim Ummah”.

“The people of Pakistan consider the Palestine dispute as its own and will continue to support the creation of Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al Sharif as its capital”, President added.


Expressing concerns over the fresh spate of violence in the Palestinian areas, Mamnooon Hussain said, “The unbridled use of force by Israel is contrary to international laws”.

“The Palestinian people should be given the right to exercise their religion besides their prisoners should be released”.

Moreover, on the sidelines of the two-day meeting, Mamoon Hussain met his Indonesian counter and discussed bilateral relations and international affairs.

President of Indonesia acknowledged the role of Pakistan in defusing rift between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
