ISLAMABAD: PM Nawaz Sharif arrived in Riyadh on Thursday on a scheduled visit to inquire about the health of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia.
PM Nawaz was received by Riyad’s givernor Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of Pakistan to KSA Manzoor-ul-Haq and other senior officials.
The Saudi King has reportedly been in poor health. Nawaz Sharif will convey good wishes and prayers for the king’s early recuperation on behalf of the Government of Pakistan and its people.
The Foreign Office said that the PM will also hold talks with the Saudi prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. They will discuss cooperation in the economic, defence, and security sector.
