PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to celebrate the Independence Day festivities in Bannu among Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
According to the official sources, prime minister will be present at the Independence Day ceremony which will be held at the Baka Khel camp for IDPs in Bannu.
On the other hand, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the Corps Commander Peshawar Lt-General Khalid Rabbani would hoist the national flag on Independence Day, while premier will join the celebrations with the IDPs afterwards.
The premier’s visiting to IDPs to celebrate Independence way with them is going to be happened at the moment when PTI has planned to march on Islamabad to protest against alleged rigging in the previous year’s elections.
Meanwhile, the KPK cabinet and provincial legislators including Chief Minister Pervez Khattak were busy taking off for the long march as the first convoy of some 200 workers led by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) member of national assembly Sajid Nawaz and member of provincial assembly Jehandad Khan have begun their journey on foot.
According to the PTI, the workers will join the party in Nowshehrr, Swabi, Jehangira and other cities and would march on foot to Islamabad.
