ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday has approve the launch of ‘Green Pakistan Programme’, radio Pakistan reported.
The programme is initiated to improve wildlife and forestry sectors in the country.
Main purpose of programme is to protect and manage wildlife and reclaiming and developing forest areas.
Under the program about 100 millions new plants will be added in the country in five years.
The premier asked all concerning federal and provincial ministries and departments to go for best international practices for preservation of wildlife and forests.
According to PM office, use of modern technology, assessment of forest depletion and development of immediate and long term forest expansion plans are features of ‘Green Pakistan Programme’.
