PM Nawaz affirms Protesting PIA workers will be expelled


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday affirmed that protesting Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) workers will be expelled.


PM also lauded those employees who was not the part of strike.

Premier was talking to the media on his visit at Sahiwal Coal fired power plant, said that, PIA is bearing the lose of 10 crore on daily basis, how can one leave it like that.

Services of national airline needs to be improved, people faced difficulties during travel, PM added.

Federal government had enforced the Essential Services (Maintenance ) Act 1952 for six months on Monday in attempt to bar any protest, Nawaz Sharif during media talk said that leader of the opposition who has criticised the government on invoking the act, should know that Zulaqar Ali Bhutto had also invoked the act.
