Quetta: On Thursday PM Nawaz Sharif and COAS Raheel Sharif attended the passing-out parade of first batch of Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF).
The major participants of the ceremony include, Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and Commander of Southern Command Lt General Nasir khan Janjua.
During the ceremony CM Dr Abdul Malik Baloch thanked the prime minister and Army chief for making visit to the province and also said that ” The provincial government will provide assistance to Balochistan police in ending terrorism,”
Prime minster awarded the best cadets of the batch and also said that “Your presence should provide a sense of security to the citizens. No miscreant should escape your hands.”
“We have to root out terrorism from the country with tact” he added.
” The establishment of ATF in provinces is a manifestation of the government’s firm determination against the menace,” Nawaz Sharif said.
CM Balochistan presented souvenir to PM Nawaz while Inspector General (IG) Balochistan police presented souvenir to Gen Raheel.
The personnel of the ATF which passed out was given one- month training by Pakistan Army. Gen Raheel and Lt Gen Janjua took keen interest in the training of the personnel.
In the event martial arts skills were shown by the graduating force and sharp shooters of the batch also showed their skills.
