LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab Police on Friday has registered Frist Information Report (FIR) against unknown attackers of Indian Airbase in Pathankot.
According to reports, FIR has been registered in Gujranwala on the application of Deputy Home Secretary Aitzaz-ud-Din.
CTD spokesman said, FIR No. 06/2016 was registered in the CTD police station Gujranwala under sections 302, 324 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and sections 7 and 21-I of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
At least seven Indian were killed on January 2, when six unknown assailants entered Pathkot airbase located in Indian Punjab.
Pakistan had already formed special investigation team to probe the Pathankot incident. India had alleged that Pathankot attackers came from Pakistan and declared the Jaish-e-Mohmmad chief Maulana Masood Azhar was mastermind of the attack.
After the attack, unlike in the past, both sides acted maturely, Pakistan had asked India to handover evidences pointing out the culprit behind attack, India authorities on media, admitted that the investigation of Pathankot attack on the Pakistan side going satisfactory.
