ISLAMABAD: Pakistan celebrating Pakistan Day on Wednesday, officially day began with 31-gun salute at the federal capital and 21-gun salutes at the provincial capital. Today is public holiday and Pakistan flag is hoisted at all main government buildings.
Main order of the day was joint services Pakistan Day parade ceremony held at the Parade Ground in Islamabad.
It was worth watching ceremony , Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Rangers, Police, SGG took part in the parade.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussaain, COAS Gen Raheel Sharif, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and other high-level officials are among the attendees of the ongoing event.
Like the previous year parade, Air Chief Marshal of Pakistan Air Force Sohail Aman led the fly-past march. Officials from all three services, Pakistan Army, Navy and Air Force, showcased their skills.
The sky diving paratroopers landed with a national flag which was later handed over to the President Mamnoon Hussain by the GOC SSG Major Gen Tahir Hussain Bhutta. The mega event began with the National Anthem.
