Pakistan conducts 2,750 km range successful missile test


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan today conducted a successful test launch of Shaheen-III Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile, capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads to a range of 2,750 Kms, Radio Pakistan reported.


According to report, the test launch was aimed to verify various design and technical parameters of the weapons system at maximum range.

Senior officers from Strategic Plans Division, strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations has observed the successful test.

Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat congraulated the scientist and engineers on achieving the milestone and termed it a major step towards strengthening Pakistan’s deterrence capability.



President Mamnoon Hussain and PM Nawaz Sharif have also congratulated the team on their outstanding achievement.
