RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif awarded Pak military awards to Army personnel for showing gallantry in ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
According to press release of ISPR, awards were conferred to Ghazis and Shuhada of Operation Zarb-e-Azb at Investiture Ceremony held at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi on Tuesday. A large number of Pak military officials and family members of Shuhada were presented at the ceremony.
30 officers and soldiers were awarded Tamgha-e-Bisalat, 33 officer were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiza (Military), and 1 soldiers was awarded United Nations (UN) Medal. Medals and awards of Shuhada were received by their family members.
Addressing to the ceremony, COAS has admitted the sacrifices made by Ghazis and Shuhada of Pak military officers and soldiers.
