ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday that the government will not allow any political party or group to hold public meeting at capital’s Red Zone or the F-9 park.
Talking to media about the recent protest over Pro-Qadri supports in Islamabad in the name of chehlum, he said few days later, another Pro-Qadri group tried again to jam federal capital but after intervention of sane situation was avoided.
Referring to PTI sit-ins against alleged election rigging, he said that four month sit-ins of PTI caused losses worth billions of rupees to the country besides one billion expenditure on deployment of security forces to handle the situation.
Commenting on Panama leaks, the Interior Minister said the demand for investigation of issues relating to Panama Papers came from the opposition including Imran Khan. He said instead of using the issue for political point scoring, the opposition should cooperate in investigations to bring forth the truth.
