No compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty: Khawaja Asif


ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said categorically that no place and person is important than the sovereignty of the Pakistan.


In an interview, he said no political parties or religious parties should be allowed to hold arms or armed wings. Only state can posses the arms and weapons.

Khawaja Asif said, protection and peace for the public is the responsibility of the government and government is striving for the ultimate peace in the country. People are seeing our efforts towards peace in Waziristan, FATA, Balochistan and Karachi. After a long time, government and institutions were on same page against terrorism and every kind of religious and political extremism.


In a question about operation in Karachi, he said that the operation was against criminals without any discrimination. In future, action would be taken as per law without any discrimination against those involved in unlawful and criminals activities.

On the question of Judicial Commission regarding investigation of General Elections 2013, he said our government is ready to except any kind of decision of the Judicial Commission regarding alleged rigging in General Elections 2013.
