Nine Killed, 15 injured in blast on LEAs vehicle in Quetta


QUETTA: At least nine person were killed and several injured on Saturday when a blast took place at Jinnah Road near Manan Chowk in Quetta.


Four of the killed person belongs to Froniter Corps (FC), while identities of the other 5 still not confirmed.

“Four member of the FC have been killed in the blast, while the remaining fiver are local”, Home Seretary Akbar Hussain Durrani said to English daily.

The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have claimed responsibility for the Quetta attack.


“The TTP’s TSG unity carried out the attack that targeted the convoy of security forces,” Taliban spokesperson, Mohammad Khorasani said.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Governor and Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zahri have  condemned the Quetta blast.

Preimer directed the concerned authorities to provide best treatment facilities to the injured. He also said those involved in brutal attack will be brought to justice.
