Nawaz Sharif reaches Karachi to fix Rangers’ deployment matter


KARACHI: On Monday, Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif reached Karachi to attend meetings on security of Metropolitan city.


In his  schedule Air show at Soniami Range  arrange by Pakistan Air Force is  included,  Shoail Aman Air Chief, received PM Nawaz at the venue.


Accompanied by Defence Miniater Khawaja Asif , CM Sindh received PM Nawaz at Karachi airport.

Sources revealed that  Sindh government to reluctant to extend Ranger deployment in Karachi whereas Federal government  have the opposite view on the matter.

Earlier, Home Minister Chaudhry Nisar had announced that he and PM Nawaz would be in attending the meeting in Karachi, he also expressed regret that Sindh government had not made a decision  on extending rangers stay in city.


Meanwhile, COAS Raheel Shairf also arrived in Karachi, reviewed the meeting regarding Karachi security situation.


Army Chief lauded the role of Law enforcement agencies and Rangers for considerable improvement in Karachi and conducting peaceful  Local Bodies elections on Dec 5.
