Nation to celebrate Golden Jubilee of Pakistan Defence Day 6th September 1965 tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Nation will celebrate the golden jubilee of Pakistan Defence Day – Yaum-i-Difa – in memory of the martyrs of 1965 war who defended the motherland against the powerful Indian Army in the Indo-Pak war of 1965.

To celebrate the Defence Day of Pakistan with all zeal and enthusiasm, federal and provincial governments have finalised the plans. Series of program will be organized by both government and private organisations.

Main event of the day will be held at GHQ Rawalpindi and Convention Center, Islamabad to pay tribute to the Heroes of 1965 War. Tonight there will be a fireworks shows at F-9, Islamabad.


It was the biggest Tank Battle after World War II


Rehearsals for Defence Day celebrations have been finalised. The Pakistan Air Force rehearsed at Fatima Jinnah Park, Islamabad. On Defence Day, PAF will show the JF-17 Thunders multi-role fighters, F-16 Falcon fighters, K-8 Advanced Jet Trainers and several other helicopters tomorrow.1965 Australian Frontpage

One minute silence at 9:29 a.m. will be observed for the martyrs of 1965 war. National Anthem will be played at 9:30 a.m.

Pak Army will display their latest weapons including missiles, tanks, guns army aviation, fighter jets, helicopters and many other equipment used by Pakistan Army Engineering Cores. The show organized by Pak Army will be open for all citizens and will be aired on national TV channels as well. Programme will be held to tell to the people how people gave sacrifices for the defense of the country and now what is the responsibility of the young generation towards the motherland and its futures.
