The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women has nominated Pakistan’s inspiring lady Muniba Mazari as country’s first female Goodwill Ambassador to promote gender equality and empowerment of women.
The motivational-speaker Mazari said on this occasion: “I am a strong supporter of UN Women and the role in ending gender-based discrimination, and to work towards gender equality.”

The multi-talented artist girl Muniba would be dedicating her attentions towards empowering women and girls in her new role as National Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan.
The young, energetic lady of Pakistan has been voicing for women, girls and even men and boys of the country on the burning issue of the modern world ‘the gender inequality and discrimination. She is commendable due to her perseverance despite being disabled as she sustained multiple injuries in her spinal cord after faced a horrible accident during her youth.
Pakistan’s Representative for UN Women Pakistan, Jamshed Kazi said “We are thrilled and honoured to have Muniba Mazari as UN Women Pakistan’s first Goodwill Ambassador”.
Meanwhile, marking the 16th Day of Activism against gender-based violence, Saudi-Paki Tower turned orange in colour, as orange colour reflects bright and optimistic future for women and girls, and a violence-discrimination-free life.
