MNAs demands ‘Task Force’ to protect sacred places


ISLAMABAD: Members of National Assembly strongly condemned the recent bomb blasts at two churches, Christ Church and Catholic Church in Youhanabad, Lahore. MNAs also demanded task force to preserve sacred and religious places of all communities.


Speaking on points of order, MNAs also condemned burning of two suspects to death and damaging of public and private property by the mob. They make it clear that the whole nation is target of terrorists without any discrimination of religion, ideology, province and area. Churches and minorities were soft targets of terrorists. The blasts were the reaction of ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb. All stakeholders must make joint efforts to eradicate the menace of terrorism and establish peace and stability in the country.


MNAs also urged the Ulema of all school of thoughts to play their key role for peace and humanity in the country. MNAs demanded the formation of a task force for the adequate protection of religious places.

Meanwhile, Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf was also inquired about the progress on the development funds allocated for minorities by the present government and chances of any proposal under consideration of the government to increase those funds: if so, and their implementation details.

Moreover, in today orders of the day of National Assembly, Ms. Belum Hasnain of Pakistan People Party from Punjab will introduce a bill to provide the constitution of National Commission for Minorities- The National Commission for Minorities Bill, 2015.
