Mini Martial Law for FATA after completion of Zarb-e-Azb


ISLAMABAD: The Ministry for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) accepts that the operation Zarb-e-Azb that is currently in-process in North Waziristan and adjacent areas will be completed by the year end and after that a mini Martial Law will be endorsed for the financial and socio-economical welfare of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas as reported by the Minister of SAFRON, Lt. General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch.


In an interview to a local newspaper, Minister of SAFRON told, “The time of the Taliban or terrorists will end in FATA and there will be finished peace in the whole tribal regions before the current year’s over.”


Mr. Baloch also clarified that he is talking about the FATA and not about the different parts of the countries. He said that, legislature wants to dispatch a powerful plan for the operation affected areas by implementing long term planning for the financial and socio-economical welfare and can impose a smaller or mini Martial Law.

Couple of days back, DG ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa also said that military had controlled immeasurable zones in North and South Waziristan and now Taliban are bound to the little packet in the Pak-Afghan fringe range.
