Last packets close to Pak-Afghan border being cleared: ISPR about Zarb-e-Azb


At least 3400 terrorists have been executed so far with 837 of their hideouts have been annihilated during the last one and a-half year since the operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director Gen Major Asim Bajwa tweeted.


Announcing a vital achievement in the ongoing mission against terrorists, Bajwa declared that terrorists backbone is broken. The main infrastructure has been put to ground and their nexus with speepercells has largely been disrupted.

On this great success, Bajwa said that success has been substantiated at a great price as 488 valiant officers and men of Pakistan Army, FC K-P and Bolan and Sindh Rangers devoted their lives while another 1,914 sustained severe injuries.

Regarding the establishiment of Military Courts in the country and their working, Bajwa said that total 11 courts have been referred 142 cases to which 55 are decided, while 87 cases are still in process. According to the ISPR spokesperson, 31 hardcore terrorists have been convicted by military courts.

On the whole, the improvement, as said Bajwa, in security and law & order is owed greatly to the Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He delightly said that festivities, national events have been celebrated now as stability is achieved.
