ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday held a media talk, he said that former provincial Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commision chairman Lt General (retd) Hamid was not probing Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak and Provincial Assembly Members (MPAs) as far as he know.
Regarding the resignation of KP Ehtesab commission,he said, three issues Gen Hamid mentioned,none of them were KP govt related.. I had given him full support for curbing corruption in KP.
Khan confirmed that PTI led provincial government amending the Ehtesab commission authority , “Independent committee of experts from legal to review the KP Ehtesab Commission amendments. No amendments have been passed as yet and will be reviewed and reversed if seen detrimental to accountability. There is no compromise on that. I shall be heading the committee myself.”
As per my commitment, KPEC will remain independent & will have all the powers to nab any corrupt individual in the province, PTI chairman added.
