Karachi: The Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa said that Karachi airport has been reopened for passengers and all flight operations.
“Karachi airport has been cleared and handed over to Civil Aviation Authority and the Airport Security Force,” said Major Asim.
The International airport was sealed due to an attack here on Sunday, which was, however, reopened for the passengers and the flights will be resumed by 4 pm today.
“Four PIA employs were martyred in the terrorist attack,” claimed the ISPR General.
The initial reports about the attack, which are presented to PM, revealed that terrorists, who entered the airport from two different sides, wished to annihilate all the aircrafts.
The PM had ordered the authorities to reopen the airport and the passengers are facilitated in best possible ways.
On the other hand, the CAA spokesman has ensured that all the concerning activities will be resumed to the normal routine as soon as possible.
