It would be regrettable if NSA talks cancelled: Sartaj Aziz


Adviser to Prime Minister on Forein Affairs sartaj Aziz said on Saturday that although the cancellation of NSA talks not confirmed yet but he said peace alongisde Line of Control is desireable.


As the time approaching towards the day of scheduled peace talks between Pakistan and India secrurity officials in New Delhi and empediments and speculations in the way, Sartaj Aziz conducted a press conference to express government’s wishes. During his talks with media, Aziz said that New Delhi needs to clarify its stance on NSA meeting. He said that in order to develope congenial environment for dialogues between the two countries 3 dossiers on RAW involvement in Pakistan will be handed over to India. On concerns prevailing ahead his visiting, Aziz expressed his willingness and said he is still ready to visit New Delhi without preconditions. About Hurriyat leaders’ detention in New Delhi, Aziz said that Pakistan is upset over this move by India.


The Adviser on Foreign Affairs stated that Pakistan wishes to resolve all issues through dialogues.
Meanwhile, a high level talk between the two countries is due on August 23 at New Delhi. This is a highly anticipated meeting and both the countries have high hopes on this event.
