ISPR released video song to pay tribute to fighting soliders of ‘Zarb-i-Azb’ featuring Mustafa Zahid


RAWALPINDI: At least 2763 militants have been killed in this operation which was launched by Pak army against militants in North Waziristan, one year ago.


According to DG ISPR Asim Bajwa, “The operation has moved to last few pockets close to Pakistan, Afghanistan border and so far, 2,763 terrorists have been killed.” He also added that 347 soldiers and officers have also been killed since the start of the operation on June 15, 2014.

Furthermore, “218 hard core terrorists have been killed in cities, 9000 IBOs have been apprehended, thousand terrorists and abettors have been killed,” DG ISPR Asim Bajwa said. He added that 837 militant hideouts have been destroyed and 253 tons of explosives recovered during the operation.

Pakistan Army has cleared large areas of North Waziristan and Khyber Agency from terrorists through military operations and the next step is to clear Shawal Valley.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the nation particularly the Pakistan Army on completion of one year of Operation Zarb-i-Azb against terrorism. 

In a statement in Islamabad, he said Zarb-i-Azb was the manifestation of the resolve to get rid of terrorism from the country.


Most of the Pakistanis claims that Pak army is consuming biggest chunk of our budget, But they are not aware about the hardships in Zarb-i-Azb are being faced by our heroes, They are fighting to secure the whole nation, without any fear of death. No one is thinking about their families and their interests, they are the saviors of our nation and this must be accepted.
