Imran Khan reveals strategy to reform Pakistan cricket

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, who is former cricketing great, revealed his strategy to reform Pakistan cricket, who is facing new low after World T20 Cup dismal show, where Shahid Afridi’s team won match after playing four.

Three points strategy for reformation of Pakistan cricket according to PTI chairman is,

Number 1: “make cricket an institution we have to insulate it from political pressure”.

Number 2: “Despite an abundance of talent, our players lack temperament & technique, leading to performance inconsistencies Consistency only comes thru quality, highly competitive cricket. Hence, as in Australia, all talent should be concentrated in 6 regional teams. All departments should sponsor these 6 regional teams rather than fielding their own teams”.

Number 3: “Rather than wasting money on senseless expenditures, we badly need more cricket grounds. New Zealand, with a population of just over 4.5 m ppl, has more cricket grounds than Pakistan”.

Imran Khan also criticised  Prmie Nawaz Sharif who is patron-in -chief of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), accused him of appointing  persons (Najam Sethi) who helped winning premier election 2013.
