ISLAMABAD: The Capital High Court (IHC) has directed the Defence Secretary Lt. Gen. Muhammad Alam Khan Khattak and Director General Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) Lt. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar to nominate officers to appear before the court on July 8 in ‘missing lawyer’s case’.
IHC Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, hearing a petition for recovery of lawyer, Hammad Dadan, who was the member of Islamabad District Bar Association and was allegedly picked up by the army personal of an intelligence agency on June 20 along with two others, observed that both the ISI Chief and Defence Secretary had not compiled with the order of court issued in July 3, 2015.
The court had directed in the previous hearing to Defense Secretary and DG ISI to depute officers who would brief the court in the matter but the orders were not followed.
No one was above the law and all institutions should respect the judiciary.

However, Additional Attorney General (AAG) Afnan Karim Kundi said to the court that he would coordinate with the concern officials to assist the court.
Lawyer Missing Case:
Hammad Dadan, who was the member of Islamabad District Bar Association was allegedly picked up by the army personal of an intelligence agency on June 20 along with his cousin Abdullah Omer and Ammar Dadan. Abdullah Omer who was an alleged Al-Qaeda suspect was allegedly involved in the killing of FIA’s prosecutor Ch. Zulfiqar. He got bail in July 2014 and is currently facing trial in the murder case in Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).
