Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given directions to the concerned authorities to make sure the supply of food items, tents and warm clothes to the victims of earthquake in the affected areas.
At a brief attending cession in Shangla on Tuesday, the PM directed that necessary relief goods must be provided to the affected people.
He said that while carrying out relief activities, the intensity of weather in the quake hit areas should be kept in mind.
The PM was informed earlier that rescue and relief activities have been carried out in the hit areas and for this purpose two hundred people have been deployed. It was informed during the brief that fifty-seven deaths have been reported in Shangla district so far.
Meanwhile, PM Nawaz has paid visit to the areas one day after a horrible earthquake hit on Monday and left thousands of countrymen at shock. The 7.1 magnitude was felt almost across the country although the centre-point of the quake was in Afghanistan.
The relief activities were launched soon after analysts began to assess the loss and damage of earthquake.
